"If asked to describe SULS in 2 words, the words that come immediately to mind are "community" and "friendship". Never have I had the opportunity to be part of an organization that works so hard to benefit so many! The essence of a community is a shared story. Even though SULS members are originally from all over the US and even internationally, they are able to selflessly work together to help others. "I have been a member of SULS for almost 2.5 years. I have had many opportunities volunteering, serving on committees and doing service projects. It is a very fulfilling and worthwhile feeling to participate in our fundraisers. My favorite part is watching the expressions on the faces at the check presentations.
